a disconcerting balance between the memories of childhood and the reality of adulthood, where the reader is confronted by emotions paramount to those of being in purgatory. these are memories but not ones that can be placed. they are more yours than mine and yet they are really more the reality of your childhood memory than that romantic and poetry filled world in your mind.
